Founder, baker, dog mum, and the heart behind Maison Hunny.

Maison Hunny was born not from business ambition, but from a deeply personal place of healing. Having been in the architecture industry for almost a decade, like many, I felt the pressure, the burnout, and the creeping sense that I was losing touch with joy. Then came the diagnosis: stage 3 cancer.

What followed were some of the hardest months of my life. Treatment, surgery, more treatment, followed by what felt like a long recovery. But somewhere in the middle of all of that, something unexpected and beautiful happened. We took in a rehomed miniature schnauzer pup and named him Bubur (after my favourite food! iykyk).

Bubur became my reason to get out of bed, to laugh again, to heal. He grounded me in the present. He reminded me that the small things i.e. a cuddle, a silly bark, a happy tail wag… are the simplest joys in life.

With Bubur by my side and a new outlook on life, I realised I wanted to create something softer, simpler, and more joyful. I turned back to something that had always brought me comfort: baking.

But this time, for our four-legged friends. For the pets that have helped me in my journey.
